“MONKEY” needs a home!
MONKEY is one of those dogs that has such a sweet spirit that it makes your soul ache. One look into his soulful eyes and you will see that he is extremely smart and is a very quick learner. He is the first pit bull terrier mix to successfully have been flown out of the St. Bernard Parish shelter since Hurricane Katrina. He would not have had a second chance there and his rescue truly saved his life. Monkey just wants so badly to be loved. He loves to lay in your lap and have his chest rubbed. He closes his eyes in contentment to let you know just how much he appreciates the attention. He also loves to hike! He is a funny, quirky little guy that will keep you laughing! He has the funniest bark you could ever hear and he loves to play with his toys. No small children please.

Mudiwa (MOO dee WA) is sweet through and through. She appears to be well bred. Arthritis seems to be causing the weakness in her hind end. She is on a high quality diet with supplements and has gained back some of her hind end strength. Mudiwa has a very playful personality and loves to play wrestle and chase. She’s been on several outings with other dogs off-leash, and she does very well. She would love a permanent home with a soft place to lay and not a lot of young dog activity. She needs a 1-story home .
Nell is a well-mannered house dog. She does well with other large dogs (no small dogs or cats) but does guard her food bowl. Although she's a bit overweight right now, Nell is still an active girl and does play. When it's cold out, she may wake up with some stiffness and move a bit slowly at first. Nell needs to be in a home with no stairs.
Isn’t she a beauty!
